Go Rocco Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Go Rocco mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

Go Rocco Ltd ("Go Rocco", "we", "us", or "our") reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email at least 30 days before they take effect.

2. Eligibility

To use Go Rocco, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the UK and some EU jurisdictions)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the App under applicable laws
• Create only one account per person

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent to use the App.

3. Account Registration

To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use & Zero Tolerance Policy

4.1 You Agree To:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Respect other users and their pets
• Provide accurate information about yourself and your pets
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Report any safety concerns, objectionable content, or policy violations using the in-app reporting tools

4.2 You Agree NOT To:

• Post content that is objectionable, illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or offensive
• Share content depicting animal cruelty or abuse
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Spam, advertise, or engage in commercial solicitation without authorization
• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the App without permission
• Create multiple accounts or accounts for others
• Share explicit, sexually suggestive, or pornographic content
• Harass, bully, stalk, or threaten other users
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass content moderation systems

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content"). By posting content, you grant Go Rocco a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the App.

5.2 Content Standards

User Content must not infringe intellectual property rights, contain illegal material, include personal information of others without consent, depict animal abuse, or violate any applicable laws.

5.3 Content Moderation & Filtering

We employ multiple layers of content moderation to maintain a safe environment:

• Automated filtering: All user-generated content (images, text, and posts) is screened by AI-powered moderation systems before being published. Content that violates our standards is automatically rejected or flagged for review.
• Human review: Our moderation team reviews flagged content and user reports. Decisions are made promptly, and repeat offenders face escalating consequences up to permanent account termination.
• User reporting: Every piece of content in the App (posts, comments, messages, and profiles) includes a report option. Reports are anonymous — the reported user will not know who filed the report.
• User blocking: You can block any user at any time. Blocked users cannot view your content, send you messages, or interact with you in any way.
• Appeals: If your content is removed or your account is suspended, you may submit an appeal through the App.

5.4 Enforcement

• First offence: Content removal and a warning
• Repeat offences: Temporary account suspension
• Serious or repeated violations: Permanent account termination
• Illegal content: Immediate removal, permanent ban, and referral to law enforcement where required

5.5 Content Removal

You can delete your own content at any time. Deleted content may persist in backups for up to 30 days.

7. Location Services

Location tracking requires your explicit consent. You can enable or disable location services at any time in Settings. Your real-time location during walks is NOT shared with other users unless you explicitly enable "Live Location Sharing" for a specific walk.

Do not use the App while driving or in situations requiring your full attention.

8. Paid Features & Purchases

8.1 What You Can Pay For

A small number of optional, one-off purchases remain. None of them are required to use the App, and none of them unlock features that other users do not already have:

• Lost pet alert boosts — a one-off payment to widen the reach and duration of a specific lost pet alert.
• Promoted places and businesses — paid visibility for venues and service providers within the App.
• Marketplace bookings and shop orders — payments to third-party providers and sellers, covered by section 9.
• Go Rocco Business — an optional subscription for service providers running a business through the App. It is not required to list or be booked, and it grants no consumer features.

Prices are shown in British Pounds (GBP) and confirmed in the App Store, Google Play Store or at checkout before you pay.

8.2 Existing Go Rocco Premium Subscriptions

Go Rocco Premium (also called Alpha Pack) is no longer sold. If you subscribed before it was withdrawn, your subscription continues on its existing terms until you cancel it:

• It will continue to renew automatically at the same price and billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• The features it once unlocked are now available to everyone at no cost, so the subscription no longer grants exclusive access.
• You may cancel at any time (see 8.3). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

8.3 Managing & Cancelling a Subscription

Subscriptions bought through an app store are managed by that store, not by Go Rocco — we cannot cancel them on your behalf:

• iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or via the App Store.
• Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds for app store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.

8.4 Restore Purchases

If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore an existing subscription or purchase using the "Restore Purchases" button in the App.

9. Marketplace & Payments

9.1 Purchases

Physical goods and non-subscription services are processed through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

9.2 Refunds

Refund policies vary by seller. Digital items are generally non-refundable. Contact support for disputes.

9.3 Third-Party Sellers

Some products may be sold by third parties. Go Rocco is not responsible for third-party products or services.

10. Groups and Events

Group administrators may set additional rules. Event organizers are responsible for their events. Go Rocco is not liable for incidents at user-organized events. Exercise caution when meeting other users in person — meet in public places and inform someone of your plans.

11. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content created by Go Rocco, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or decompile the App, or remove any copyright or proprietary notices.

12. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (maps, payment processors, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

13. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, the accuracy of user-submitted content, the safety of in-person meetings, the outcome of lost pet searches, or the suitability of any pet-related advice.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GO ROCCO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR (B) £100.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Go Rocco and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or your User Content.

16. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@go-rocco.com to attempt informal resolution. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

17. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Go Rocco.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to do so later.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them without restriction.
• Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control.
